You Are Not Broken

There’s a quiet ache that many carry.
It might show up as tension in the chest, a sense of being too much or not enough or a feeling that no matter how hard you try something inside still hurts.
If this resonates I want to offer you something tender, you are not broken.
As a trauma-informed therapist I hold space for people who have lived through experiences that overwhelmed their capacity to cope. Trauma is not just what happened, it is what happened inside you in the absence of support, safety or choice. Healing is about gently reclaiming your relationship with yourself without erasing the past.
What Trauma Might Feel Like
Trauma can be subtle or loud. It can live in the body, in relationships, in the way you speak to yourself. You might notice:
• A persistent sense of anxiety, numbness or hypervigilance
• Difficulty trusting others or feeling safe in closeness
• Patterns of self-blame, perfectionism or emotional shutdown
• Feeling disconnected from your body, your needs or your joy
These are not signs of failure. They are signs of adaptation as your system does its best to protect you and deserve to be met with compassion.
How I Work
My approach integrates Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), developed by Dr. Diana Fosha, PhD, and Somatic Attachment Psychotherapy, developed by Dr. Lisa Mortimore, PhD. This means:
• We move slowly honoring your nervous system’s need for safety and pacing
• We co-create a relationship where you feel seen and your needs are honoured
• We explore how emotion lives in the body and how gentle awareness can invite change
• We name patterns with care and invite repair with warmth
Therapy is not just about insight, it is about felt experience. It is about being with what’s true together.
A Space for You
Reaching out can feel vulnerable. That is why I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you sense whether this space feels right for you.
Whether you’re just beginning to explore therapy or returning after time away you are welcome here. Your story matters. Your healing matters. You don’t have to do it alone.
If you’re ready I’m here.
